aHA!!! So instead of battling with my profile settings, like I have been for the past 30 minutes, I should get out there and comment on every thread I can so I can boost my post count. Hmm. What time is it? Bed time. LOL

When I was a new member and wanted to boost my post count, I went and posted in the fun and games section. There are a lot of games over there and it's pretty easy to come up with a reply. Besides, many of them are fun!

I think Cynthia is onto something with the 50 post count though. Coffee? I'll probably get booed out of here, but I don't drink it. My hubby had gotten me started on it, but usually I would only drink the highly flavored ones on Sunday morning. Anyway, I found out the caffeine could be contributing to my female woes, so I decided to stop caffeine. It really has made a huge difference for me!!!

That's OK, ya don't need to drink coffee to be on CW!

Ds wanted to go see the cars and trucks at the Smackdown. Both of the car dealers park all of their cars in the Kmart parking lot for the weekend and see who can sell the most.Ds was looking around and telling me what he wanted in a vehicle-things like MP3 players and blue tooth among his other "necessities". I asked him what else did he want? He asked what do you mean? I said things like tires, brakes, trans, engine. He said if he ever bought anything he would have X or Y check them out for him. I asked him what are you going to have when you are fifty? He said "A mechanic!"

Guess some homeschool lessons just don't turn out the way ya plan them!

Ds2's city is big on recycling. He put 7 big paper bags of grass out to be picked up by one of the 3 trash trucks. Too bad he lives in the city. I would have recycled that grass into milk, cheese, wool, and fertilizer by adding a sheep and a couple of goats to his yard.

I stayed at Melissa's last night. Cindy was also there. Had a blast! I raced this morning. Uh, I am NOT used to rolling hills! That last one did me in. Not nearly as bad as the finish for FOT, but at mile 13, there jsut was nothing left.

Hey, Rebecca, I'm glad you're back! I thought maybe the Mexico heat had finally evaporated you or something!

It was fun to have His visit last night. Sorry about the race. Maybe you should come up here more often and practice!

It's thunderstorming up here. I'm working, and I really don't want to be. I'm not having a good day pain wise. I'm kinda hoping we lose power or something - then I'd have to go off.

Cindy--I love Melissa and everything, but it's gonna be r-e-a-l-l-y cold day you know where before I attempt driving over again! That drive about did me in. I swear those signs aren't there

FOT is August 7-14 this year. You are more than welcome to come. We haven't heard back from many on who is coming. We have a band booked for Tuesday. This one is a Southern gospel band!

Ellie-Mae, will you send me a PM with some details? I'll talk with DH about it. We're in Kansas, so it would be a trip but we need a vacation after all.

his, what's this about signs not being there? (I missed seeing a stop sign one time. It wasn't a good experience. My car ended up totaled, as well as the car that T-boned me. The other driver had a broken wrist, but everyone else was fine aside from some cuts and bruises).

We used to do that, too!

I gave ds a letter and told him to mail it at the post office. The envelope said it needed a first class stamp. He stood and argued that he needed 80 cents... I told him to grab fifty cents and that should mail it. He came back out of the post office and didn't say anything, except that everything should be done online. How did I forget to teach him what a first class stamp was???? Can I blame it on email???

FOT sounds like fun.

Melissa is back in the ER with more cardiac stuff going on. I don't know any details yet. The kids have a friend flying in from FL, so I HAVE to go to the airport and pick him up. I also have to go to Erie and pick up my kids. I am not going to be able to get there until this evening (although of course if it ends up being serious I will just drop everything and go). Please pray.

Pray for Steve too . . . he is trying to convince me that he's holding it together, but I know him better than that.

Cindy--PRAYING!!!!!!!! Melissa seemed to be doing well on Saturday.

d-o-f--yah gotta come to FOT! Super fun time of fellowship. Plus, ya gotta let the kids out of the closet and be around other kids. You know, so they can be "socialized".

Signs not being there... Highway signs around Cleveland are VERY BAD at best. I missed the exit three times, then got MAJOR lost. Three calls to Cindy, and she and Melissa's husband helped talk me through the spaghetti of exits.

Actually, the race on Sunday went exactly as I had hoped. I wasn't concerned about time. I knew I wasn't trained for a half marathon, but figured I could squeak one out. I jsut wanted a good strong race. That's exaclty waht I got. I emailed a photo to Melissa. She must not have shared it with Cindy. I looked like a drowned rat holding two medals. One medal for finishing. One medal for winning my age group!

Ds wants to "socialize" by going with his friends to Cedar Point next month. It's with a church group on their bus. Last year he said he wouldn't do it again. They were on the bus about 16 hours and at the park for 8. They can't go unless they attend the teen rally every night for 3 or 4 nights. I have to get the dates of the rally and make sure that we are home that week.

Ds and I have something else to worry about. The weather station says that the tropical storm in the Gulf is supposed to turn into a hurricane and hit somewhere from southern TX to Mexico. Dh is in Corpus Christi about ten blocks from the water.
He is the kind of person that thinks nothing is going to hit him, so pray that he stays safe.

I have no clue why they are like that. All I know is that when we lived in SW MO, we rented a mobile home on a hill for awhile before we bought a house. We would take the kids out of the mobile home when we had tornado/severe storm warnings. He would stay in the mobile home and laugh at dd and I when we came back home with 3 little kids. Dd and I even took sleeping bags for the kids and "camped out" in the ER at the hospital almost overnight one night. The people would look at us kind of weird until we told them that we lived in a mobile home. Then they would say "Oh, good idea!" .

Are you all done with school? Would you believe we are still doing ALG I and biology? I told ds to get the math books out of the trucks about an hour ago. Now, the baby is awake and making noises. He is getting very smart. He will whine and if ya don't pay attention to him right away, he will start coughing. He isn't sick, just smart! Gotta go.

Melissa stayed in the hospital overnight and was discharged this evening. The diagnosis is just straight electrical misfiring - no real heart disease or structural problems. She will most likely have an ablation sometime next week.

In the meantime, I have run through 3 tanks of gas in the past 3 days, and I am beat. I think I am actually going to go to bed before long. I have to go back to the airport tomorrow to pick up a friend - I am excited to have her coming, but I wish I could just teleport to the airport.

Cindy--thanks for the update. I thought you told Melissa that she could only give you one scare per summer. This was number TWO.

Interesting. My father's wife died from cardiac arrhythmia, but it was caused by cardiac fibrosis and was not an electrical problem. The procedure sounds like it can cure the problem entirely. I pray it does that for Melissa.
